Farm Years allows you to get a view of cropping for past and upcoming years. For each year you can update the usages for your fields. This means you have a visual plan of what happens on your fields. You can also use years to separate your plans for next season's work from what you are working on at the moment.
Farm Years don't have start and end dates so they can be used in the way that works for your farm. For example you could align them with your annual harvest or accounting year. You can change between maps from the past two years and look forward two years.

The first farm map is automatically set to the current year.
To change between years select the drop down menu at the top of the screen. Each Farm Year will have a replicate copy of your farm map.
Initially your field usages are blank for the new Farm Years. Set usages for them to make a visual plan of what you will have in your fields.
To set field uses we have a flow which lets you update the usage on lots of fields in one go while viewing what you had in fields the previous year. Find instructions for how to do this here.
The total area of each crop is shown next to the field usage type.

On the field list, you can view fields in alphabetical order or by field type. The total area of each crop is shown next to the field usage type. To change the view select the filter button to the right of the field tab.
Copying field usages and sub-fields across years
When you change farm year you have the option to copy across field-usages and sub-fields from the previous year.
This message only shows the first time you change the farm year. If you do not receive the message simply reply to this email and the support team will be able to set up your farm years correctly

The notes and tasks you make on your farm are automatically tagged to the calendar year of the map that is open.
Switch between years using the drop down menu at the top of the screen to make notes and tasks tagged to different years.
To view the activity list for each year select the year you would like from the top and click activity on the side bar.
You can edit notes and tasks to change the years as required. Find instructions for how to do this here.
Mobile
