Where does the data for Pesticide Database and Pesticide check come from?

Pesticide Check and Database are powered by HOMOLOGA®. Check results contain information created and maintained by external sources like Fera and Lexagri that may not be current or complete and are supplied to fieldmargin by HOMOLOGA®. Inclusion of a product in a search result does not constitute our endorsement of that product.

What countries is Pesticide Check and the Pesticide Database available for?

Our pesticide tools are available in the UK, Ireland, South Africa, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. If your country is not on the list and you would like to see it there in the future please let us know.

Do you offer the same checks in all countries?

There are some differences in the coverage we are able to offer across countries due to difference in pesticide registration systems and availability of label information. Below is a table summarising check availability by country. There will be variation from this depending on product.

I think there is some missing or incorrect data in the Pesticide Database or Pesticide Check results. What should I do?

We work closely with our data providers and have performed testing to ensure our product is as complete and accurate as possible. However, label information availability varies by country. We want to make sure this tool is as useful as possible for you. If you see something that doesn’t look right, match the product label information or a result you expect is missing please use this form to submit a report or get in touch via email or the chat box.

Does using Pesticide Check mean I don’t need to read the label?

Absolutely not. Pesticide Check is intended as a tool to help you spot possible errors or oversights in Pesticide Planning. It is your responsibility to review the official manufacturer product label information, applicable regulations, and otherwise research the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of all information, claims and opinions contained in these results. You should always read the product label and if in doubt seek the advice of an agronomy professional.

I’m not sure how to treat a particular pest or how to use a pesticide? Can you help me?

No. You should seek the advice of a licensed advisor or agronomist and read the product label. All the information displayed in fieldmargin is for information purposes only and does not constitute agricultural advice. While we have team members with agricultural and scientific backgrounds our speciality is in software and our support team will only be able to advise you on how to use the fieldmargin software.
