What are the Free Farm Limits?

We have recently implemented further free farm limits to the free version of fieldmargin. We have explained the changes that have now taken place both via email and within the app. On the free plan:

  • Users can be the farm owner of up to 3 farms on the free plan

  • You can map up to 500 hectares (1235 acres) of fields

  • Each farm can have up to 3 team members

At the time, we gave a grace period for farms already over these limits to ease the transition period. This grace period has now come to an end and we have rolled out these limits to all farms.

What does this mean?

If you have more than 3 farms on your account

  • All farms will appear as locked, except 3 which will remain on the free plan

  • If you would like to regain access to more than 3 farms, you will need to put each further farm on a paid subscription.

If you have mapped more than 500 hectares

  • Fields over this threshold will appear as locked and be greyed out on the map

  • You will not be able to access records associated to these fields

  • You will not be able to create notes, jobs, etc to these fields

If you have more than 3 team members

  • The first 3 team members that were added to the farm will retain their access

  • Subsequent team members will be locked out of the farm and it will appear as locked

How do I get access to my farm again?

Please be assured that we are not deleting data. Everything is stored safely and will be accessible once your farm is upgraded.
